 Deposits

A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking. Your payment reserves your date and is non-refundable as it covers reserving your date and initial preparation. If you wish to cancel your order for any reason 2 weeks prior to the pick up date, we will be happy to transfer the deposit to another order placed within 3 months from that date.

Orders that are placed within 1 week of the due date will need to be paid in full.

Advance Notice

All orders are subject to a 2 week lead time. Additional charges may apply to orders that don't adhere to the lead time.

​Final Payment

 

​​Payment for the balance of all custom cakes is due 1 week prior to delivery/pick up. 

If the remaining balance is not paid within this timeline, the order will be cancelled.

Pick Up​

Pick up is available at south Ajax during specified hours. Contact for details.​​

We are not responsible for damages to any cake after it has been dispatched. A cake care card will be provided with your order. The customer is then responsible to provide an appropriate environment for the cake; such as a secure surface, optimal temperature, and location. It is important to note that cakes can be heavy and require a flat secured surface during transportation, a sturdy display table, and an optimal room temperature of 24 degrees celsius or below.  Direct sunlight and temperatures of 24 degrees celcius and higher may have drastic and adverse effects on any cake.
Any repairs or additional cakes will be subject to additional fees.

Set up is offered for an additional fee of $25.00.

Refunds

​

Cake by Sarah K is dedicated to customer service and quality. We will do our best to  accommodate your needs. However, if there is a problem with your order, please notify us right away. If a fault is determined with a product, a non-refundable credit with no cash value will be provided.

There are no refunds in relation to flavours and textures; these are subjective to each person. You may qualify for store credit if the cake is brought back and the quality of the cake is determined to not meet our standards. Cakes must be brought back to us within 24 hours after pick up - please notify us promptly of any issue.
